CALL FOR PAPERS – CONGRESS OF THE FRENCH PALAEONTOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (PARIS, JUNE 2026)

The APF congress will be held at the National Museum of Natural History and at Sorbonne University in Paris from Monday 1 June to Saturday 6 June 2026, with Saturday reserved for field trips.

The annual APF congress aims to promote palaeontology, facilitate its development, and encourage communication among French-speaking palaeontologists. The congress is open to all palaeontological topics.

The congress covers all palaeontological themes (taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny, anatomy, histology, biostratigraphy, palaeoenvironments, palaeogeography, taphonomy, etc.) and all types of living organisms from the Precambrian to hominids (vertebrates, invertebrates, plants, fungi, bacteria). From fossil collection in the field to laboratory analyses, from fundamental research to experimental research, from traditional techniques to cutting-edge technologies, and including the history of collections, all aspects of fossil studies may be addressed during the congress.

Important dates

  • 13 March 2026: distribution of the second circular
  • 17 April 2026: deadline for registration, abstract submission, and applications for awards
  • 15 May 2026: distribution of the third circular (final programme)
