MASTER’S INTERNSHIP OFFER – MAGNETIC MEASUREMENTS ON SEDIMENTS
A six-month internship titled “Magnetic Parameter Measurements in the Laboratory for the Characterization of Archaeological Horizons” is offered by INRAP (Paris 14th arrondissement).
The main objective of the internship is to perform high-precision magnetic measurements on archaeological soil samples in order to refine their characterization. Several parameters will be studied, including:
The internship will take place at the Scientific and Technical Directorate of Inrap, with measurement sessions at the Paleomagnetism Laboratory of LSCE (CliMag team). The Bourlon site (Early Middle Ages), currently excavated by Inrap, will serve as the study area. It provides a suitable context for cross-disciplinary experimentation involving archaeological, pedological, and magnetic data.
