INQUA RESEARCH GRANTS / FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS
INQUA will open its call for research grants and fellowship program starting on June 20, 2025.
INQUA promotes international collaboration in Quaternary science and aims to enhance communication and cooperation through networking. To support and facilitate this collaboration, INQUA provides financial support for projects, particularly for the development of international research networks and international capacity-building activities. It also offers individual funding through its fellowship program, which aims to support Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and scientists from low- and middle-income countries, enabling them to gain valuable international research experience in Quaternary science at a host institution for a period of 3 to 6 months.
The basic criteria for the evaluation and awarding of INQUA project and fellowship funding include:
-
Scientific quality
-
Originality and novelty
-
Feasibility (e.g., work plan, expertise, and collaboration potential)
-
Qualifications of the applicant(s)
-
Justification of the requested funding
-
Relevance of the host institution, where applicable
By adhering to these criteria, the selection process aims to ensure the funding of high-quality and scientifically significant projects.
The deadline is set for September 30, 2025.
